Statement of Purposes

Associations Incorporation Act 1981 – Section 5 (b) 

The name of the proposed incorporated association is Toorak Village Residents Action Group Incorporated.

The purposes for which the proposed incorporated association is established are:

1. Obtain membership of the residents within postcode 3142.
2. Represent the members for the promotion, co-ordination, communication and representation, to the Responsible Authority and other State or Local Government authorities with respect to the geographical area referred to in postcode 3142.
   a) Ensuring property development is in keeping with the applicable and relevant future residential codes as approved by State Government and Responsible authority or other relative authority’s various relative guidelines and policies issued from time to time;
   b) Recommendation for traffic management (which includes on-street parking), improvements, surveys and reviews; and
   c) Recommendations for streetscape improvements, surveys and reviews.
3. Communicate, consult and co-operate on behalf of members with the Responsible Authority with respect to:
   a) Area beautification and cleanliness;
   b) Improved infrastructure (eg footpaths, roads, drainage);
   c) Maintenance of the “Toorak Village Neighbourhood Character; and
   d) General community and environmental services.
4. Communicate with members on items of:
   a) Planning application and associated issues;
   b) Responsible Authority’s plans and actions in the area;
   c) Outcomes of association’s activities.
